Seeing Yourself How God Sees You, Matters

In a world full of voices telling us who to be—whether it's the personas on social media, our jobs, family, or even our own expectations—it's easy to get lost in the chaos and forget who we truly are. This struggle is what they call an identity crisis. But there's a powerful reminder in Psalm 139:13-15:

“For you created my inmost being; you knit me together in my mother's womb. I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well.” (Psalm 139:13-15)

This verse speaks volumes, telling us that before the world labeled us, God already had a blueprint for our lives. It's a profound idea that highlights how seriously God takes our existence, shaping us intricately from the inside out. 

Our real identity lies in Christ, not in our achievements, platforms, careers, or relationships. Any or all of these may feel like solid foundations, but none of them are permanent. Any of them could change at any moment. If you base your identity on things like success, wealth, power, physical appearance, and so on,  you are setting yourself up for great disappointment.

God, however, is unchanging. He is reliable. He is the same yesterday, today and forever. If you find your identity in Him, you will never ultimately be let down because He has proven time and time again to be trustworthy. 

Seeing yourself how God sees you matters. The more you get to know Jesus through His word and time in prayer, the more you will understand your identity in Him.

Choose to believe what God says about you, refuse to be a diluted version of His masterpiece. As you find your identity in Christ, you will grow to look more like Him and less like the world.
